Hello,
I am Sally Cote the owner of PlayMatters and I want to share with you
my extensive background in child development. I started working with
children when I was twelve years
old. I learned early on that I wanted to be a teacher. Beginning my
education in Early Childhood Special Ed when I was only 14 years old,
I began taking classes and volunteering with children with
disabilities. That is when I fell
in love with the early childhood profession. I started the Running
Start program at my local community college during my junior year of
high school. I worked as a
respite care provider for children with autism, down syndrome, fetal
alcohol
syndrome, reactive attachment
disorder and other disabilities. I have also worked as an infant,
toddler,
preschool teacher, and have managed several childcare facilities.
I
currently have a certificate in Infant and Toddler Care, two Associate
Degrees; one in Early Childhood Special Education, a Bachelors Degree
in Organizational Management with a minor in Elementary Education and I have just completed my Masters Degree in Business Administration.
In the future I plan to continue my education, I will be working on my
PhD in Early Childhood Education.
My goal is to bring learning to play. Providing young children the best
experiences necessary to be prepared for kindergarten; mentally,
physically and
socially. My goal for parents is to provide resources to them by
bringing educational opportunities to parents by partnering with local
community programs to help expand parent's knowledge
about child care, parenting, and child development.

| Alexander Cote, is our greeter! He is often seen greeting you at the door saying "HI!" as you come in, or seeing you safely out with a friendly "Bye!".
Alexander is one years old. His favorite places to play are with the coloring crayons and at the train and lego tables.
Alexander loves to share his favorite toys with other children as they come into play. He is always excited to see his friends and new faces :)

Jeff is Sally's husband and Alexander's dad. You will see him at PlayMatters on weekends with Alexander when Sally is not able to make it in.
