Overview

The playmatters preschool program is designed to provide enriching opportunities to meet the needs of 3 to 5 year old children.  Through curriculum development  and parent workshops

Our goal is to assist all children and their families in strengthening their child's development in all aspects, physically, mentally and emotionally

 The Preschool Program consists of small and large group activities, which facilitates development in language, fine motor and gross motor, cognitive skills in reading and math readiness concepts and social skills. There is a balance of child-directed and teacher directed activities throughout the day.

 The preschool allows for free play in centers designed for child guided learning through role playing, imagination exploration and creativity development.

Free play  centers include but not limited to block/Lego area, dramatic play, science, sand/water table, puzzle boards, art center and listening/story area.

 Developmentally, play facilitates problem solving skills, social interaction and communication skills, and increases cognitive growth.

A Great Experience

Join us for an enriching preschool program designed to spark imagination and creativity while fine tuning cognitive, fine/gross motor and social development. Preschool is geared for children three to five years old.

Parent involvement

 The family/parent-oriented philosophy is an integral part of the preschool program. Our communication is done though monthly activity calendars, newsletters, written logs, parent workshops and other special events. Parents are encouraged to become active members of our program by assisting during classes or observing in the classroom.

Themes

 The themes are guided toward the children's interests, seasons, and up coming holiday's. As children  help decide what will be covered in the upcoming themes, they  become more interested and more involved in school, learning and the preschool community.
